Didn’t get far. But now with Blender and Blender Cookie I feel like I can finally learn 3d modeling,animating, texturing and so on. I happened upon Blender recently and as a result found Blender Cookies. Your courses and tutorials are extremely informative, especially for someone such as myself. I learn more by “doing” rather than via written manuals. And your modules make it much easier to grasp some basic concepts which enables me to have some basic understanding of what I’m doing and how it’s done. Which makes me want to explore more and develop my skills.

I have not started with Blender yet. I am due to start in April 2013 at Tech. I am hoping to give myself a head start before then because I am possibly the world’s slowest learner!!!

My problem:

I have downloaded Blender 2.64 from the Blender website. However I can’t seem to find any tutorials for 2.64. The ‘Blender Cookies – 2010 Blender Training’ focuses on 2.5. I have noted that the interface is a little different from 2.64.

I have tried to download Blender 2.5 but it does not appear to be available on the Blender site anymore.

Any suggestions please.
