In this lesson, I go over Baker and briefly discuss his creation, and show how he’s constructed by showing the materials used, and the topology of his mesh. Then we get into the rig, and how it controls the model, and a few tricks as to how it’s set up.

Do you have a tutorial on how to make custom bone shapes?
Not specifically on Custom Bone Shapes, but my Rigging a Pupil for Dilation covers it! http://cgcookie.com/blender/2010/03/13/rigging-a-pupil-for-dilation/
Enjoy
Jonathan
Is there a tut on how to rig the body with the bone shape?
a tutorial would be great on the rig setup!
Hi,
Just started the tutorial but Baker’s body controls are messed up, it looks like a scaling issue (x positive direction). While the controls for the face look fine but don’t respond…
I’m using 2.6.
To fix the face controls you just need to go to System > FCurve/Driver fix
Thanks for the quick reply! That did the trick for the face but the controls of the body are still broken…
were is control?
Were do you find system, my face controls aren’t working either
Hey could you do a tutorial on how to download baker?
The Baker model is included in the source files of part 02.

Welcome to Citizen, I hope you like it!

Oh I found it. It was right their in front of me the whole time, DUH.
Sorry for bothering you.
Thanks, B.A.
NO problem at all! Glad to help
TYVM you’ve solved all my peroblms
Having the same problem as Barryconvex, I see your answer fixed it for him, but I’m at a loss to understand it. The only place I can find “system” is in user preferences, and I’m pretty sure that’s not where you’re talking about Fcurve/driverfix being. I’ve been using blender for awhile, but never messed with this stuff before, any help appreciated! Thx!
Never mind! I found the tutorial quick tip on fixing the problem, maybe that quick tip should be packaged in with any of the other tutorials involving using a facial rig. Thanks for the great tutorials!
Hey David, just wondering if you could post B.C Baker’s model on http://www.blendswap.com/ thank you;p
Hello Dave, I’d like to address the issue that other guy was having with the face controls, I have the same problem. However I was lost with your advice when you told him to go to System>Fcurve/Driver fix, I didn’t know how to do that or where to look
Go to the help panel at the top and there should be an Fcurve/Driver fix.
The facial controls are not working for me. I am using 2.62. The body controls work fine.
look like the same problem barryconvex is having.
Never mind. should have read more before posting…
