A not so known large part of our day is working to keep our e-mail queues down. We do this in between recordings, meetings, commuting on the train, or re-watching the Aliens movie.  As there are only a few of us, we are now looking into cloning technologies. However, in the mean-time we have set up some new features on the site.

Embarking on this journey, one of the important things we truly wanted to not lose was communication with you. Communication on the support front, but also working to remain accessible for questions that may come up while using the software we are providing tutorials for.

Admittedly this is becoming challenging as you guys seem to be multiplying and increasing the traffic on the site from week to week. (But by all means keep it coming ;) ) We are working to discipline ourselves, and structure everything so we can keep this dialogue going. We still strive to answer all e-mails within 24hrs and most are addressed sooner.

Today we wanted to shed some light on our new support forums. We have partnered with Zendesk to help us do this, well we pay them at least. ;) (No we get no referral bonus for plugging them). But in the end they are incredible at keeping our life’s pace clocked just slower then ludicrous speed!

Our new support forums – http://cgcookie.zendesk.com

Though initially they are a bit bare, we will be pushing relative tickets over to them, and monitoring this daily. We are unable to see every comment that comes in on the tutorial pages, but we are able to keep an eye on this single source and of course the [email protected].

zendesk_forums

Of course we support any topics regarding the site, our services and products. We also field quite a few blender questions. We are able to answer most of these and if further instruction is required we offer our http://mavenseed.com service of one-to-one intimate training. ;)

So if I have a question what should I do?

Of course you may first ask it on the comments on each post. There are a slew of talented Blender artists out there that may jump in and help out. If you are looking for Official Support from us, as cliché’ as it sounds, yes check the FAQ first. But if you are like me I like to go to the source. ;)

Click our support tab and type in your question. This will auto-search our knowledge base and return an answer immediately. If it doesn’t you will be taken directly to our question form. Fill it out with details of what you are looking for and submit it our direction. Done Deal

Thanks again to you and thanks again to Jonathan and David for fielding the questions and keeping the gears moving!

I see your character was inspired by Bishop from Animation Mentor.

the initial design was an attempt at recreating the blendercookie logo into 3D space, but yes, i agree that there is a strong resemblance between the two, and i might have even subliminally steered in that direction unintentionally :D

as far as I’ve learned it’s only possible to clone females, but you might ask “your creator”to press “shift+D”
