I know it is cliche’ to even say, but it was very hard to choose these winners for this contest. Again we set out to create a short, fun contest that every one could participate in. It was excitedly overwhelming the amount of entries we received! We ended up at 89 entries for as week long contest is insane!
But without further wait, lets open up the envelope…
First Place – Joseph Wourms

Second Place – Yanick Letourneau

Third Place – Shakquan Mcallister

If you didn’t place this round of contest, please don’t fret or go and smash your snowman.
All of the kick arse entries we received and posted on our Facebook page!

Is there another place I can look at the entries? I cannot access Facebook.
Ooops sorry Will – I was thinking of you from your comment on the other post. Meant to include this to our Me gallery – http://gallery.me.com/wesburke#100084
Thanks. They all look great.
BTW, excellent job winners! Beautiful snowmen. Congrats!
Can’t wait for another contest ^_^ And make more longer time
Lots of good entries. Congrats to the winners.
Wow gg. 2nd highest rated I thought I had a chance lol. Peace
No kidding, I thought you had a chance too!
Congratulation to the winners.
Great job.
a job extremely well done to first, second and third place! love the expression of #3, but #1 and #2 really are quite good!
I so knew that one would win. X3
All the entries were adorable though, very nice modeling everyone!
Lots of good entries. Gorgeous lighting and textures on the winner.
Nice work everybody. Great choices for the winners! (My favorite made it up there.) Looking forward to future Blender contests.
someone mentioned in an earlier comment about having a critique session on our art, and I was wondering if you guys had plans for a sort of focused critique session in the future… it sounded like a great idea, considering Im an artist in desperate need of improvements.
I like this idea and something we will have to talk on putting together. Thanks for the feedback and catch you guys soon.
Congratulation! Nice works.

I have to say that I am honored to have placed that high in this contest (Second Place here). My favorites on the gallery which aren’t prize winners are Nathaniel de Bell’s twigstanding snowman and Matt Osbourne’s jolly snowman who looks like it could be in his own show. Grats to all the other winners and thank you Wes for the contest.
Thank you for your nice comments about my snowman.
And congratulations on second place, your snow texture is excellent.
for the other 87 this contest it has no value because THERE IS NO TOP!!!
How can I know how good or bad I’ve made the model if I can’t compare my artwork with others ???
Am I right or not?
I wanna see a TOP , if not now, maybe in the future!!!
It will 100x more fun.
I forgot …
especially to the winner and BlenderCookie
Congratulation to everyone
is there a way we can all see all the snowmen entries?
Well, That was fun but kind of upseting but hope the winners are happy…
I agree but it was a panel of judges not by popular vote. So it is what it is.
Congrats to the winners.
Gratz for the winners!
Was really fun to take part in this contest, hope there will be more soon…
I would have to say something for the entries that had a lot of heart and soul poured into them and didn’t place. The winners seem to have focused entirely on the snowman rather than telling a story with a snowman in it.
Let’s keep in mind that a contest with a slightly different focus would likely have different winners from the same entries. Everyone did an excellent job and it looks like Blender has some very talented artists using it.
Thanks again to Blender Cookie for hosting contests and tutorials that help those with little means get an education and experience.
I agree, I spent the majority of my time on the concept alone. I wish I would have known that all I had to do was create a realistic snow material! Well hopefully there will be contests in the future that focus more on the storytelling aspect! Gongrats to the winners though I really liked the one that won first place.
Dang it! Totally forgot about this. wish I’d known, thought I would have had a good chance.
I can’t believe you didn’t include Magnus Hallberg’s. I thought it should have received second place.
Great going, everyone! Just looked at the gallery, too. Wonderful entries! Congrats to the winners!
I’m honoured to have placed 3rd out of all those entries. I’ve taken a look at all the entries and it must have been really hard for you guys to choose. That’s why I’m flattered you choose mine! This has been a learning experience and hopefully next time I can place higher.
