Happy Holidays!

Today I was walking outside to get the news paper in my trusty blender jammies, (wife loves these) and almost tripped over this present left on the doors steps of the CG Cookie Headquarters. (Okay, not really I just made that up, however… )

Jonathan, David and I wanted to say a huge thank you for a fantastic humbling year from the Blender Cookie crew. It has been quite a year with the release of 2.5, attending the Blender Conference, Sintel on the big screen and continuing down our journey to provide more and more Blender Video Tutorials.

As in Holiday tradition we wanted to give a little back to the daily visitors of Blender Cookie and our CG Cookie network. Without the support of you guys I would be able to sleep on the train, and watch reruns of Tom & Jerry. So thank you and here is a little present under our tree for you. But you may only look at it; you can’t shake it, or feel how heavy it is. (It’s a digital thing)

But you can mark it on your calendar to come back here and open it up on December 25th! A bit after midnight (-6GMT) we will open up the download for the present for you to open and see what is inside, and then you can post back here to the world what we got you for the holiday.

I think I’ll have a double Merry Christmas because I never saw last year’s gift!! :D

As always, I sincerely appreciate everything you guys have done. Blendercookie.com is my NUMBER ONE resource for all things blender and I’m not just saying that. I come back to this site time and time again to either relearn something old, or become inspired by something new.

Thank you so much and Merry Christmas to Wes, David and Jonathan.

Aw, you shouldn’t have. Thanks for the top shelf tutorials, guys. They make life in the slow lane bearable. I can’t tell you how many times my response to these has been: “Dang, this is ‘friggintastic’.”

Thank you for an awesome and generous year, Jonathan, Wes, David and Sebastian.

We did see it moving yesterday, but Jonathan kicked it and it stopped. We heard a muffled “ouch”… but nothing really since. Some mention of an audition, and asked if we liked it.

I’m honestly more excited about this then any of my material gifts. Mostly because I don’t know what’s in it, rather then something off a list it’s just “hey, we thought you might like this”. Love it. Merry christmas guys!

    Hi Guys,

Merry Christmas! I can’t seem to find the download button for my Xmas present. It’s Dec 25th 2:36 p.m. here on the West Coast. So it should still be active. Please let me know how to retrieve my gift. Thanks so much for all the excellent tutorials you produce for us all year.

    Regards,

    Vickie Webb

Go to the home page and you will find another post where you can download the present. I got confused myself and kept checking back here thinking they’d update it with the download.
