In this Citizen exclusive Blender 2.5 video tutorial, we begin the process of modeling a full female head. The series will be taking an in-depth at the techniques needed to accurately model the subject, including accurate anatomy and topology.

In this final part 6 tutorial of this head modeling series we take it a step further and begin sculpting pores and wrinkles into the skin using alpha texture brushes.ls.

We also have a public “Male Head Modeling Series” available for view. Just scroll down and each section is listed. Reference Images were purchased and licensed from 3D.sk. To learn more about 3D.Sk please visit them today.

Thank you for the support and more education is on the way!

kinda off topic–is there a certain point when your doing a full character model that you use subsurf, or just whenever?

thanks again keep up the great work :)

This is really going somewhere, looks very nice, its the professional standard that really impresses me.
There is a sound quality issue in this clip, if u put some thin foam rubber under the mic stand, then the hum(pc fan?)and bumps of the table would be gone. Its to acoustically isolate the mic so it doesn’t pick up anything but the voice.
I wouldn’t have mentioned it, but it was a bit distracting.
Apart from this minor issue, this is just an awesome demonstration/tutorial, cookie is awesome.

This is some really cool stuff. I have been trying to make some slick graphics for my website for some time now & I think this is the answer!

Fantastic tutorials all around I have improved my skill sets much from watching these and my knowledge of the tools blender has to offer.

I may be asking too much but I am hoping this tutorial continues to finish the model with subsurface texturing, hair particle demonstration, and maybe even finishing it off with a demonstration on how to create a parallax map of the high resolution model to the low resolution model.

More power to the man for wanting to make some money but it’s kinda discouraging when someone is looking for tutorials and learn that they have to pay for it. The male modelling tutorial is very good, but kind of hard to follow when it keeps backtracking. Hopefully I’ll be able to find this again when I have money to put down on this website. Times are tough. Real talk.
