There comes a time when a contest stands out, taps you on the shoulder and makes you want to travel to a distant land. A contest which such strong backing from industry leaders, supports Blender and has some pretty gnarly videos!

This is why we are happy to announce Blender Cookie has become a part of the Raygun Shoot out Blender Contest, brought to you by the crew at Weta and GreenButton.

A contest where the grand prize is an all-expenses trip to the far off lands of New Zealand to meet the talented Greg Broadmore (creator of Dr. Grordbort’s) and renowned Richard Taylor at Weta Workshop!!

How is the Cookie helping out?

Blender Cookie will be offering some wicked spot prizes to the creative artists selected by fine crew at Weta.

Here is what we are sending over in a secure, nailed down unmarked wooden crate. Learn more about our Citizen Membership.

Be sure to visit http://www.raygunshootout.com/ to read the full contest details and watch more tantalizing videos they have put together for this event.

About the Contest

I believe you meant to use this link(wetanz.com) for the weta workshop,
rather than the weta-fx(wetafx.co.nz) one in the post, could be misleading. :)

I haven’t been able to find a deadline for entries. Does anyone know what it is? I went to the contest site, but for some reason I couldn’t find it.

The competition will end at the end of October this year, the overall winner will be announced at the Blender conference. The contest has a winner each month and usually a new category for each month.

Hope this answers your question ;)
