In this Citizen exclusive Blender 2.5 video tutorial, we begin the process of modeling a full female head. The series will be taking an in-depth at the techniques needed to accurately model the subject, including accurate anatomy and topology.
This third section continues with the main modeling process by filling in the rest of the mesh, examining edgeloops and making some adjustments to the mesh in order to improve the edgeflow in preperation of detailing.
We also have a public “Male Head Modeling Series” available for view. Just scroll down and each section is listed. Reference Images were purchased and licensed from 3D.sk. To learn more about 3D.Sk please visit them today.
Thank you for the support and more education is on the way!
What is Covered in this Lesson

- Adjusting edgeflow where needed
- Preparing for detailing

Thank you
Again a very nice tutorial. I like the fact that you make it simple to understand and that you clearly explain your choice during the modeling. Excellent, really excellent, thank you again

Awesome!! Thank you. I’ve been looking forward to this. Was a little worried it was getting lost with all the awesome Training Series work you are doing.
Cheers
The progress I’m making with this series is just ridiculous! You deserve our support for sure. Can’t wait to see the 2010 training series….when will it be available for purchase?
Thanks,
Ken
Ken, I’m not a staff member of blender cookie but I think I can answer your question nonetheless. I ordered the 2010 Training Series a while ago and it started shipping 3 weeks ago (one chapter a week so far). It is very well done and interesting (I’m a total blender newbie). So I guess, if you order now, you will get a log-in and be able to download what has already been released and after that the various updates as they become available
Thanks for the info Jean-Luc
Great tutorial – as always.
I have one question about the ripping tool (‘V’): What do I have to do to make Blender ripping the mesh the way I want it to? Nine out of ten times using this tool I end up ripping the mesh in the wrong direction. Sometimes I’m starting to think Blender does this on purpose just for screwing around with me. ^^
How can I change this?
Greetings
Sebastian
Wow, I became a citizen for the mechanic series but these videos are so awesome! In my opinion they’re better than the male head videos. Thanks and keep up the good work
