Growth is good and the amount of munching you guys have been doing is allowing us to bring on more talented instructors to help in the kitchen. So officially CG Cookie is looking to bring on 1-2 more authors specifically in the Architecture or Game Development arena in Blender, and is looking forĀ  Modo and Mudbox instructors.

We are a pretty laid back group of CG nuts, but do work within tight schedules and happen to do a bit of this work outside of normal working hours. That being said, we do have a bit of fun, and do understand that there is work, life and outside time away from the computer.

Applicant Requirements

  • To have online examples of education or extensive portfolio.
  • Able to present information clearly, effectively and have a bit of fun doing it.
  • English Speaking <– Currently, but if other language please let us know.
  • Blender Foundation Certified*

*For Blender authors – If you have extensive education pieces online CG Cookie may be able to assist in obtaining certification.

Authors are paid 125USD per regular tutorial, 20USD tip and other commission opportunities are available.

Apply Now

If you are interested please fill out the application below and give us a few days to review. We will get back to each one, it just may take us a bit. ;)

It gets better and better :-)
As for Architectural modelling in Blender, you’ve probably already tried but if not, Allan Brito is IMHO one of those to be contacted.

    Keep expanding :-D

Yeah, Allan Brito would rock! But maybe Kernon does that job just fine anyway?
What about Claas Kuhnen? Ckuhnen.com I believe, can’t check from my cell right now :( He does good technical, industrial design and teaches Blender at school, to my knowledge. He’s originally german, so that might be a big plus for german speaking dudes (many have huge problems with English, and in Germany they germanize everything instead of making people learn an industry language… Games, movies, software…) quite a few german Blender cracks out there! And NO, i’m not german and I prefer English :)

Modeling and animation are the topics I’m studying the most at the moment regarding Blender. But architecture is also part of my Blender hobby and I guess it would be great to get new wizards providing tutorials about this kind of ‘blendering’ :)

Oh I forgot : I agree that Allan Brito should be a good one to contact. His book about architecture modeling in Blender is just great. And Yorik van Havre (who reviewed this book and is also a BF certified instructor I guess) should be a good one too. Here’s his website featuring some Blender tutorials and material : http://yorik.uncreated.net/index.html

Note to moderator : I’ve made a spelling mistake while typing my email address before sending my previous comment – sorry about that! ;)

Yezz great news for those using Blender for architectural visualization…
    Hope you will find someone.
Allan Brito and Yorik van Havre would be cool to add to the blendercookieteam / cgcookieteam.
