On this tip I am showing how the textures could be taken a bit further. This is a time lapse with narration of furthering the detail of the texture and normal maps.

We don’t normally offer downloads for TIPs, but this one warrants the updated textures. So have one on the house and enjoy. ;)

Included in the download

  • Texture Maps
  • High resolution video of the Tip

also, took the tip from Solineoz on the UVs/Sculpt tutorial, and changed the light from “inverse square” to “inverse linear” at about 5:07. That brightened up the scene quite a bit. thanks Solineoz :D

A very enjoyable time-lapse tip. Thanks for explaining the iris technique, that really improves the look of the eye and adds some life to the whole model. GJ

This is a very nice time lapse. Could you break out the eyeball section into it’s own tutorial? Thanks

Can you make this into a regular tutorial because I’m sort of new to blender and its hard to follow.

I know this is the “continued” on texturing… but where’s Part 1 on texturing him? Is there a part 1?

Could you do the tutorial a litlle bit faster … just to compress it to 5 minutes or less? Honestly, I only saw some very quick appearances of programs, menus and clicks onto buttons and all disappeared before someone (as normal as me) has realized what happened and was done. For me it seems, that this tutorial is for someone, who doesn’t need a tutorial … or my comprehension ist too slow to follow up the advices.

Hi Emmanuel, thanks for the extra set of eyes! This is not a Citizen video and was mistakenly marked as private. I have made it public again. Enjoy!
