As an education provider, we are always trying to find new topics for Blender tutorials that you, the user will find helpful and entertaining. The single best way we can do this by knowing what you personally would like to learn.

Do you feel there are not enough animation tutorials? Would you like an advanced compositing tutorial? Let us know what you would like to see below so we may continue to provide quality education to you and the rest of the Blender Community!

      @Darth_Gimp – We have been sending out weekly-ish e-mails to all pre-orders. We also just sent out a large update on our training a couple days ago. Let me know if you didn’t get this and will send directly.

      Short, short, short story is that we are going to begin final recording on Beta1 release from the direct advice from Ton/Foundation, but will be releasing a pre-series training once Beta0 is released hopefully within a week or so. Want to give you guys something to keep busy and sink your teeth into while we all wait and hit refresh on BN or the Foundation.

      It is scheduled to cover:

      Downloading and installing the latest version.

      Comparison of 2.49 and 2.5, including changes in:

      1. The interface
      2. Features
      3. Speed
      Overview of entirely new features, including:

      1. Custom keymaps
      2. Search
      3. Smoke

        I received your update and it is appreciated. I would rather wait for the Beta 1 but I also appreciate pre release material you are providing.

      Any 2.5 Training emails or survey emails? The survey shouldn’t email you.

    Hi
    You say you are sending out weekly(ish) emails to all those who purchased the 2.5 series. No mails from you since purchase in October 7th? Can you check please and ensure I am kept informed.

      @Mugwah,

      Just sent you an e-mail and also am forwarding you the past e-mails.

      @all

      If you have pre-ordered the 2.5 Training Series we have been sending out weekly-ish e-mails to help make sure we are staying in communication throughout. Though it appears the internet is eating some of these, so we are also going to use a different system for sending this this week.

      If you don’t receive this weeks update e-mail by Wednesday, or haven’t received them in the past please send an e-mail to support@cgcookie.zendesk.com. <– This ensures we get notified of it and this system will even yell at us if we don't respond. :)

      Cheers,

      W

    Umm, I don’t know if this spot is still being watched, but I am wondering how you can do “glowing object” effects like a star or a close up of a light bulb that is on. And if possible, a good rigging tutorial for low to high polly meshes on humans. I have many things I want to know, but can not find good help on the web.

      Never mind, I found a tutorial on how to rig a mesh. I was still wondering about a tutorial for scenes with like a close up to a sun or a planet’s ring though.
