This 3-part video tutorial series will show you how to create a magic wand particles effect, the sort of visual effect you might see when a “magic wand” is waved. This will be similar to a “pixie” dust effect, although not so complicated. In Part 2, we’ll take a look at how to create the particle system that will be used with the sprite graphics created in Part 1.

=[ You assumed we knew how to open that manipulate window. Can’t figure out what button you used.

AWSOME TUTORIAL!
Very inspirational post! Thank you!
Hi,
How do you in Blender 2.5 activate the ‘Speed Curve’ in the ‘Graph Editor’ in contrast to the ‘IPO Curve Editor’ mentioned in the tutorial, where you can make it show up when you set it to path. There is only the ‘F-CurveEditor’ or ‘Drivers’ option in 2.5
Thx,
m.
Regarding my previous comment:
I found a tutorial of how you can access and control the speed of the path in 2.5
You can key it under Curve -> Path Animation:

hi, i am very desperate, working on blender 259 and still a bit of a beginner..
I really can’t make it work.. I’m stuck and i think it’s at the Billboard stuff. i do have my emitter following the path, and all particules (as circles) but i can’t make the biilboard with the squares as you do on the transition at about 15.20 in the video.
When I try to render i either have nothing or huge triangles that come out of the screen..
Please anyone, I really need help!!
